"Where the Sloth Waits" is directly inspired by our whitewater rafting trip on the rushing rapids of the Río Savegre in Costa Rica. After navigating the wild, pulsing current, we encountered a sloth quietly nestled in a tree along the path back to the bus—a moment of calm following intensity. This piece reflects that contrast: the power and movement of water giving way to the still, watchful presence of the sloth. It captures both the adrenaline of the river and the quiet magic waiting just beyond it.
